Thinking about getting some for your business, but never purchased a customized product? Well, here are some tips on customization!
TIP 1: GET YOUR LOGO IN A PHOTOSHOP OR ILLUSTRATOR FORMAT
First thing is first! Get your logo professionally made and in the right format. This will ensure that your logo is ready to go. This will make customization much easier for all graphic designers to use. Don’t have a pre-made logo? With technology, logo creation can be done in the comfort of your own setting and most of the time, for free with tools online. If you purchase a customized product, we can also personalize your logo for you and send you a copy.
TIP 2: COLORING
Do you have a set color scheme? Perfect! If not, it’d be best to set a color scheme for your company! Why? Colors make it easier to recognize a brand. Think about it. McDonald’s is red and yellow, so you automatically recognize it. Be creative and put some colors together. Colors also tell customers a lot about the business. Just a few examples: red draws immediate attention and evokes strong emotions, orange is associated with playfulness and enthusiasm, and yellow can symbolize happiness and optimism. Colors can say a lot about your brand! Make it a powerful and moving statement.
TIP 3: ARTWORK
Do you know exactly what you want on your custom product? Not a problem! It takes some time to figure out exactly what you want on your product. It doesn’t have to be difficult, and we have staff to assist you with your design. We can make a few ideas for you to visualize and of course these don’t have to be exactly what you want. This are simply made to give you ideas and design inspirations!
TIP 4: DO SOME RESEARCH
Have you ever bought a car without doing some research before? No. Why would you? With the technology capability we have today, no one would simply go into a car dealership and blindly buy a car right then and there. It’s a large investment, and so is customized products! If you knew you had a big event that you can benefit from, why wait until the last minute with expensive products that take a few days to make? You definitely shouldn’t! Waiting too long can rush the production and quality, and if it looks off, you have little to no time to correct it. It’s smart to start on a custom product anywhere from 1-3 months in advance.
These tips are from personal experience working in the custom promotional product business. You don’t want to wait too long to start your project and it’s always best to be ahead of the game.
