Thinking about customizing your canopy for your company or organization? There’s more to designing than just placing logo and text onto your tent. Here’s a step-by-step guide for custom canopies.

Coloring is very important because there is only so many colors the printer can print. Colors on your monitor are much richer than what can be produced. The screen has many capabilities that can actually be printed. If you need a specific color to go with your brand guidelines, find a universal Pantone color code. The next step is further detail about Pantone codes.

Pantone is a company that is designs color codes for all mediums, whether it be paper, paint or digital codes. Their job is to ensure that all colors appear the same, no matter what they are printed on. If you have a certain color code that you need to match your other branded items, let us know and we’ll keep printing samples until we find a perfect match!

We don’t do screen printing! It’s a waste of time and money. It chips off very easily and it’s not worth your investment. Instead, we do heat sublimation printing. It’s much more effective and better for multiple and frequent usage. The dye gets embedded into the fabric, much like clothing. It’s like washing your favorite black tee over and over and it doesn’t fade. In fact, all our products are printed in this manner, so your products match nicely and look in pristine shape. That’s how we print!

Since we manufacture ourselves, we need multiple printers. With multiple printers, has a more implication that must be taken into consideration. For example, an order that might have more pink in the design, and this will take up more magenta ink or on the other hand, an order that might have more blue in the design, will take up more of the cyan ink. Each printer varies in ink levels, which may result in slight variation in the color you see on your screen. This can be remedied with providing us a pantone color code to ensure you get the same color on the screen.

1. Send us your logos and we’ll do our best to ensure your logo and/or images are supplied in high-resolution format. We zoom into your artwork at 1000% to see a 1:1 ratio of the graphics.

2. How to tell your logo is high resolution for print?

Check the format the image is in. For your reference .jpg, .png, .tiff are low resolution and most likely not acceptable. High resolution is usually in .eps, .ai, .psd or high resolution .pdf. If you’re having trouble figuring it out, send your files over to [email protected] to verify.

If you’re still having trouble – We have a full-staffed graphics department here to assist.

If you are contemplating on ordering a customized canopy or product because you don’t know how to design, no need to worry! We have professionals here to assist you in every step of the way. You will never have to worry about your graphics not being what you want because you’re not sure how to do it. Also – nothing will be printed without your written consent.

Wondering what is a color code and the difference between the multiple codes? Pantone should have all of these codes available on their website for each specific color. Most should be able to be converted, so if you know one value, then we can find the Pantone value for you!

These codes are built for website coding. They usually start with a number sign (#) and followed by a 6 number and alphabet variation. As you can imagine, these numbers are for coding websites. This number can be converted to the appropriate code for your customized graphics.

2. RGB

R = Red, G = Green, B = Blue. These codes are made for the computer screen and not meant for printing. Though, not to worry, this number can also be converted to the right number for printing as well.

C = Cyan, M = Magenta, Y = Yellow, K = Black. These numbers are coded in 4 different number values for printing. If you have a color printer at home, it’s required to buy 4 different inks, and these are the inks you have to buy for it to be able to print. This is also how we print custom tents.

1. There is a lot you can do with the space you purchased. We have pictures posted on our website to give you inspiration for your design.

2. If you’re looking to stand out, alternating colors is the best way to grab attention.

3. If you’re looking for a simple design, using one main color for your custom canopy is the best option.

The last piece of advice is to be as creative! It’s your product – have fun and don’t over think it.
