How to Set Up a 10x10 Custom Canopy Tent Quickly and Safely

Setting up your canopy is simple when you follow the correct steps:

Frame & Fabric Setup

Step 1: Cut open both the frame box and the fabric box. We recommend using a box cutter or scissors.
Step 2: While cutting open the fabric box, hold up the box flaps slightly to avoid cutting the roof fabric.
Step 3: Remove all items from the packaging and clear the area to set up the canopy.
Step 4: To remove the canopy from the protective cover bag, first unzip the bag and undo the inside strap.
Step 5: Remove the protective cover and cut off the foam packing and zip ties.
Step 6: Grab the lower center set of truss bars and expand the frame slightly (do not fully extend yet).

Top Tip: Sometimes during transit, the top center pole may come off. Simply slide it back into the lower center pole.

Step 7: Lift the roof fabric above the frame and fit it onto the frame. Attach the Velcro roof corners to the canopy legs.
Step 8: Fit the peak of the roof onto the center pole and tighten the ferrule toggle.
Step 9: Hold the truss bars and walk backward to fully open the frame.
Step 10: Lift all four upper connectors until the pins lock into position. You should hear a “click.”
Step 11: Ensure the protective flap covers the truss connector. Attach and tighten the roof straps.
Step 12: Extend the legs to your desired height using the push-button sliders.

Securing the Canopy Properly

For safety and stability, always secure your canopy:

Step 1: Hammer steel stakes into the ground through the canopy feet.
Step 2: Attach tie-down ropes to both the stakes and canopy hooks.
Step 3: Tighten each rope until taut.
Step 4: Repeat for all four corners.

This ensures your 10x10 canopy tent remains stable even in windy conditions.

How to Pack Down the Canopy Safely

Proper pack-down helps extend the life of your canopy:

Step 1: Remove all tie-down ropes and steel stakes.
Step 2: Push the leg buttons and fully retract the canopy legs.
Step 3: Unclip all roof straps (important to prevent damage).
Step 4: Release all roof connector pins and walk the frame inward carefully.

Packing your canopy correctly keeps it in excellent condition for future use.
